No experience needed. Minimum Age 12, but 10 or 11 year olds can get certified if their parent is already certified or they take the class with the 10/11 year old. Most people start with the Open Water course or a Discover Scuba session. But, a prerequisite is the ability to swim 200 yards and tread water for 10 minutes.
Training includes academics (online e-learning), 2 or 3 pool sessions depending on the number of students in the class, and 4 open water dives scheduled over two days.
Yes, private instruction is available. Private lessons allow for one-on-one training or small group instruction with flexible scheduling and a more personalized learning experience.
